WHAT IS Faway?

Hosting, management and access control for AI-generated HTML.

AI-generated HTML is often already a working page. Faway stores those finished files so you can manage projects in one place and deliver them through stable links.

Built for interactive prototypes, product proposals, data reports and personal portfolios. Faway hosts your existing files; it does not generate content or run backend code.

01 / HOST

Upload files. Get a stable link.

Upload a single HTML file or a ZIP with pages, styles, scripts and images. Validated projects get a random URL path that does not contain their name.

02 / ACCESS

One access code. Selected projects.

Projects are private by default. Select projects and an expiry, then share a six-letter access code. Visitors can choose View projects on the homepage without creating an account.

03 / MCP

Let your AI upload and update.

Configure a separate MCP credential so a compatible AI client can upload local files or replace existing content. Updates preserve project links, access codes and grants.

HOW IT WORKS

From local file to hosted project in three steps.

  1. 01

    Prepare and upload

Generate HTML with your AI tool or choose an existing file. Sign in to upload in your browser, or configure MCP and let your AI handle it.

  2. 02

    Preview and manage

Check the preview and edit the name and description. Replace the content with a new file whenever needed, while keeping the same link.

  3. 03

    Create an access grant

Choose projects, set an expiry and generate a code. Visitors open your portfolio URL and enter the code to view the selected content.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers about uploads, access codes and AI integration.

How is Faway different from ordinary file storage?

Faway is built for HTML projects that visitors can open and interact with directly in their browsers. Access grants control which projects they can view, without downloading files first.

Which files can I upload, and what are the limits?

Upload a single .html or .htm file, or a ZIP with an HTML entry page and its assets. Each upload may be up to 50 MB. Extracted ZIPs may contain up to 100 MB and 2,000 files. Your storage and project limits appear in Space settings.

Does Faway generate HTML or run backend applications?

No. Create the files with your preferred AI tool or editor first. Faway supports static HTML, CSS, JavaScript and assets. It does not provide Python, PHP or Node.js backend runtimes, or databases.

How do I upload through MCP?

Sign in and create a separate MCP credential. Configure the local adapter and allowed file directories in an MCP-compatible AI client. Your AI can then upload HTML or ZIP files and update existing projects. See the MCP guide in the top navigation for setup instructions.

Are uploaded projects automatically public?

No. New projects are private and are not automatically added to existing grants. A random URL does not replace authorization: visitors still need a valid code and can only view projects included in that grant.

Can an access code only be used once?

No. New codes contain six random, case-sensitive letters. They can be used repeatedly until expired or revoked. Authors can view and copy active codes and adjust their projects and expiry. Existing codes and share links remain valid.

Do links and grants still work after an update?

Yes. An update replaces the current files and preserves the project URL, name, active status and existing grants. You do not need a new code. Visitors see the updated content the next time they open the project.

Do visitors need to register or sign in?

No. Visitors can choose View projects on the homepage and enter their access code, including an existing four-letter code, or use the creator’s share link. Creator sign-in and visitor access are separate.

Can projects load external fonts, scripts or CDNs?

Projects load only bundled assets by default. You can enable approved CDNs when uploading, including Tailwind, jsDelivr, unpkg, cdnjs and Google Fonts. Visitors then connect to those third-party services when viewing the project.

Can revocation take back content that has already been saved?

Revocation or expiry blocks future access, but cannot take back downloaded files, screenshots or content that has already loaded. Code holders may also forward codes, so share only with intended visitors.

Can I register now? Does it cost anything?

Yes. Your first Google sign-in creates a personal workspace. Or verify your email and set a password to register, then sign in with your email and password. If you forget your password, verify your email through password reset to set a new one. There is no charge at this stage; your account page shows storage and upload limits.
